BMI is gender based and this app does not allow you to input Male or Female and so is not accurate .

I am sorry to inform you, BMI is actually the same for men and women. BMI is calculated as Kg/m^2 for all genders. This BMI function uses only weight and height. The standard deviation from "normal BMI" (18-25) is more than enough to compensate for any differences that may be due to gender. (Are you implying men/women are better than women/men?)
