By Abu Abdullah Shams al-Din Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr ibn Ayyub ibn Sa'd ibn Hariz al-Zar'i, known as Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya

Enjoy reading the book Rawdat al-Muhibbin wa Nuzhat al-Mushtaqin by Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya with the best book app, offline, and many other features.

The subject of the book is love, and the hadiths and traditions on this topic are collected. The author divided it into twenty-nine chapters, introducing it with a good introduction in which he explained the purpose of writing the book and his methodology, listing its chapters, and describing it by saying: (This book is suitable for all classes of people, as it is a useful aid to religion and worldly affairs, and a ladder to immediate and eternal pleasure. It includes a mention of the types of love, its rulings and its attachments, its soundness and its corruption, its pitfalls and its pitfalls, its causes and obstacles, and what is appropriate for that. Interpretive anecdotes, prophetic hadiths, jurisprudential issues, Salafist traditions, poetic testimonies, and cosmic events are all enjoyable for the reader and uplifting for the observer. Whoever wishes, he can expand it to include both encouragement and intimidation, or, if he wishes, he can take a share of its humor and humor, sometimes making one laugh and sometimes making one cry, sometimes distancing one from the causes of fleeting pleasure, and sometimes encouraging and drawing one closer to them. If you wish, you will find it a preacher and advisor, or if you wish, you will find it filled with your share of pleasure, desire, and a forgiving connection to the beloved.

It is considered one of the most important books written on love. In it, the reader will find what satisfies his understanding of this type of knowledge, as it combines the views, wisdom, and literature of Islamic law with discussion of love, its philosophy, and people's opinions about it. The book is replete with literary, prose, and poetic anecdotes, expressing the various forms of love poetry, interspersed with religious exhortation related to numerous jurisprudential issues that deter the lover from drifting toward dangerous paths and clinging to pure love, which can only be achieved if we are guided by the love of God Almighty.

The book also includes a comprehensive description of the various types of love, which the author divides into love of the Most Merciful, love of idols, love of fire, love of crosses, love of homelands, love of brothers, love of women, love of children, love of wealth, love of faith, love of melodies, and love of the Qur'an. It is only natural that God would favor those who love Him, His Book, and His Messenger over all other lovers.

- Books written on love: This is the most beneficial, because it combines the language of love, its philosophy, and the schools of thought of people, with the language of Islamic law, its wisdom, and its literature. In this lush garden, the reader moves from a linguistic benefit to a fundamental principle, from a literary anecdote to a jurisprudential issue, and from one to another, which I cannot fully explore.
Abdul Hayy

- One of the most beautiful books I have read by Ibn al-Jawzi. It is a wonderful and comprehensive book, suitable for all levels of readers, and a resource for combining the pleasures of love and passion in matters of religion and worldly life. It mentions evidence from the Qur'an and Sunnah, actual stories, enduring traditions, and delightful poetic examples, and it is a companion for the reader in every chapter. I found it to be a helpful advisor, extensive in matters I had not been aware of, and a delightful and enjoyable experience of the union of love and the beloved. I recommend it.
Durrah

- The book, as the author described it, is truly a garden for lovers and a stroll for those in love. The book discusses love in all its forms, and narrates stories of love, passion, and chastity that you will not find in any other work. The book addresses love and passion from all angles.
Ahmed Abu Muslim

- One of the most beautiful books Love, the sweetest and most delicate of them, is extremely sweet.
Ubaid Al-Dhaheri

- The book discusses love, its types, its linguistic names, stories about lovers and their poetry, the difference between praiseworthy and blameworthy love, and its consequences. The book is organized, clear, and free of complications.
