PreBurn: Application for the evaluation, prevention and intervention of burnout in Nursing.

Burnout or burnout syndrome appears in response to chronic stress in the work or academic environment. The most accepted definition of Burnout today identified it as a syndrome with three dimensions: high emotional exhaustion (which refers to the sensations of physical overexertion and emotional boredom that occur as a consequence of the continuous interactions that workers must maintain with each other). themselves and with clients), high depersonalization (development of cynical attitudes and responses towards the people to whom workers provide their services) and low personal fulfillment (leads to loss of confidence in personal fulfillment and the presence of a negative self-concept as a result of unpleasant sensations).

Based on the score in each of the dimensions, 5 Burnout profiles are established: committed, overwhelmed, ineffective, without commitment and burnout.

The environment of university students also presents stressors that can end up generating Burnout.
