About this app

Helps recognize, understand and label your emotions to improve communication, relationship or for your self growth.

Sometimes when I argue with my partner and I cannot understand my emotions very well so I created this application and now it's easier recognize and label my feelings.

In addition to helping you explore and understand your emotions, the Emotion Wheel is also designed to teach you the skills of emotional intelligence using the RULER approach.

RULER is a framework for understanding and managing emotions, developed by the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence. It consists of five key skills:

Recognizing: Being aware of and able to identify your own emotions, as well as the emotions of others.

Understanding: Understanding the causes and consequences of different emotions, and how they can affect thoughts and behaviors.

Labeling: Accurately labeling emotions with words, which can help you to better understand and manage them.

Expressing: Effectively expressing emotions in a healthy and appropriate way.

Regulating: Managing and regulating emotions in order to achieve desired outcomes and maintain emotional well-being.

The Emotion Wheel is designed to help you develop these skills and improve your emotional intelligence. By using the app, you can learn more about different emotions, how to recognize and label them, and how to express and regulate them effectively.

Also the app provides you with a wide range of feelings vocabulary.

Emotion wheel is using a tree-structured list of emotions from Parrott, W. (2001). Emotions in Social Psychology. Key Readings in Social Psychology. Philadelphia: Psychology Press. ISBN 978-0863776830.

The mentioned RULER method is from Brackett, M. A., Rivers, S. E., & Salovey, P. (2011). Emotional intelligence: Implications for personal, social, academic, and workplace success. Social and Personality Psychology Compass, 5(1), 88-103.
