WAS useful... at least before it became subscription based without warning, and even more useful before they split their "incognito mode" entirely into this app and screwed over everyone who paid for their ad-free browser. I'll stick to DuckDuckGo from now on, thanks. I strongly recommend others do the same. Fail to see the need for a separate app. This app has a COMPLETELY different UI than the other and has significantly fewer features (e.g. no QR code search, flash theater, keyboard, etc.). Seems quite simple at first glance. It seems kind of redundant and the original worked just fine with all features of the actual browser. It was easy to use when it just popped up as a separate window but now you need two apps for what could be done with just one. Why not simply upgrade the original?

Suddenly noticed that Puffin now seems to use DuckDuckGo as its search engine, and like it, allows fingerprinting, according to the Cover Your Tracks privacy site. Disappointing.
