About this game

My OldBoy! is a full-featured and super-fast emulator to run Game Boy and Game Boy Color games on the broadest range of Android devices, from very low-end phones to modern tablets. It emulates accurately almost every aspect of the real hardware. Special features including link cable, rumble, and tilt sensor are also supported. You can also make your GB games colorful by selecting a custom palette.

Of course it does not just emulate the hardware. Thanks to the save state system, you can save progress at any time and return back to it instantly. And while enabling fast-forward in game, you can quickly skip to the part of the game you are mostly interested in.

ā€¢ Fast emulation with ARM assembly code. Easily get to 60 FPS without frame skips even on very low-end devices.
ā€¢ Very good game compatibility.
ā€¢ Saves your battery as much as possible.
ā€¢ Link cable emulation either on the same device, or across devices over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, running at decent speed.
ā€¢ Tilt sensor and rumble emulation through your Android's hardware sensors and vibrator!
ā€¢ Game Boy Camera and Game Boy Printer emulation.
ā€¢ Super Game Boy palettes emulation. Enhance monochrome games by bringing more colors!
ā€¢ Enter multilined GameShark/GameGenie cheat codes and enable/disable them on the fly while the game is running.
ā€¢ IPS/UPS ROM patching
ā€¢ Fast-forward to skip long stories, as well as slow down games to get past a level you cannot in normal speed. Depending on your hardware, it can run as fast as 50x normal speed.
ā€¢ OpenGL rendering backend, as well as normal rendering on devices without a GPU.
ā€¢ Cool video filters through the support of GLSL shaders.
ā€¢ Save games at any time with screenshot.
ā€¢ Sync saves with Google Drive.
ā€¢ On-screen keypad, as well as shortcut buttons such as load/save.
ā€¢ A powerful screen layout editor, with which you can define the position and size for each of the on-screen controls, as well as for the game video.
ā€¢ External controllers support, through either the Android native way or input method.
ā€¢ Well-designed user interface. Seamlessly integrated with the latest Android.
ā€¢ Create and switch to different screen-layout and key-mapping profiles.
ā€¢ Create shortcuts to easily launch your favorite games from your desktop.

Good but lacking features on the button layouts. It'd be nice to have a enable and disable sound button so I can listen to normal speed but have it off during fast speed. Or it could be a feature to auto disable sound in fast speed. And I think some more load and save buttons could be added where it's a hotkey for save to a slot or load from a slot. It's good just lacking nice features

Seems like a solid emulator but the only flaw is that it really does not support save transfer between mobile device and PC well. I can't find the saves on my device, but if i use the sync to cloud feature, that gives me a save file that i can manually transfer to PC. But if i put a save from PC into the cloud, The sync system won't recognize it. Instead i have to put the save into a "save" folder inside a "MyOldBoy" folder and then use the import save function

I gave you the 5 stars for fixing the original issue with saves but could you please address the fact It's impossible to find your in game saves. Not (save states.) Is it possible you can add a section within the app that lets you manage in game save files? If so it would be much easier to find and convert them. It's currently impossible on my phone.
