Ratings and reviews

This app would be greatly improved if there was a search within a specific deck option. For when you find a kanji out in the wild and want to add it to your study routine. Manually searching through the N1, N2, or Core 6k / 10k decks is very impractical. That being said, you should still get this app. An excellent study resource. Cross platform as well! Edit: Another find. It seems there are no timezone settings for those of us that are currently in Japan using this app!

I enjoy doing Skritter on both Japanese and Chinese! However, I have one problem with this app. When writing hiragana, you have to be ridiculously precise to register a single stroke. This really infuriated me, regardless of how precise I was, the stroke did not register. I really hope you fix this on the app. Thank you.

The writing experience is great. Feels pretty natural for a screen, although a stylus is a must to properly get a feel for the motions. Unfortunately, since a recent update, writing seems a bit off from where the stylus is on the screen. Also, while doing a writing exercise the app crashed completely. I still stand by the following, as it relates to a different bug. Developer response time is incredibly fast as well. I believe I saw a bug disappear within 24 hours of reporting it. 👏
