About this game

"Now the trumpet summons us again, not as a call to bear arms, though arms we need; not as a call to battle, though embattled we are – but a call to bear the burden of a long twilight struggle..."
– President John F. Kennedy

HISTORY IN THE MAKING
Twilight Struggle puts the player at the center of the Cold War, the political and economic struggle between the U.S. and the U.S.S.R that spanned 5 decades from the 1950's to the 1990's. Designed by award winning creators Ananda Gupta and Jason Matthews, players control one of the two modern superpowers, as they work to spread their dominance throughout the world via political influence and coup attempts. But if either side triggers nuclear war, it's game over!

CARD BASED EVENTS
The event cards in the game are based on actual historical events from the Cold War era. Through the playing of these events, players exert their superpower's influence as they attempt to gain allies and regional control of the globe. From the early days of De-Stalinization, to the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Vietnam War and beyond, players are immersed in the actual events of the struggle between these two nations to be the dominant superpower in the world!

Great game, good digital version of the board game. I thought notifications were fixed this year in June's update, but it only notifies you if you close out of the game. If you switch to another app and leave the game open, you will not be notified. So, its KINDA fixed, but not really. If you have to close the game every time to get a notification, then you have to re-login too. F'N DUMB! This would be a 5 star review if they would fix what worked for god*amn years!!!!!!

Great, with some bugs. I play it on my Acer R11 Chromebook (which allows for use of Android apps). This is helpful because the world map is so vast and detailed a bigger screen is helpful. Generally, it plays great. However, when the USSR AI stuck me with the Quagmire card, I was unable to do as requested: drag the card into the "field" so I could roll to undo Quagmire. The only option was to skip. I couldn't even play my score cards. Worse: it was Turn 10, and I was finally beating the game!

This app works just as well as the PC game. The AI has gotten better, the audio and visuals are great, and I like the cross-platform play. Wish it was available for my friends who have iPhone though. Glad there are push notifications for multiplayer now. I'm not sure if I've just gotten so used the AI or if I've just gotten much better but the game has become ridiculously easy in singleplayer. I just won a game with 56 VP. I never lose, so this isn't a fluke. I usually only win by 20-30 VP though.
