ENCRYPTION AND PASSWORD PROTECTION:

• Uses the open-source, encrypted database engine SQLCipher for all data storage
• The encryption used is 256-bit AES in CBC mode
• Master Password key derivation uses 256,000 rounds of PBKDF2 SHA-256
• Every encrypted database has its own random initialization vector
• Every page of storage has its own random initialization vector and HMAC protection
• Hardware-accelerated using CommonCrypto for speed and reduced battery consumption
• All sync data is encrypted with a completely random Sync Key

ACCESSIBILITY FEATURES:

Codebook for Android uses the Accessibility API to allow users to opt-in to the browser Autofill service. The Autofill service allows users to insert information stored within Codebook into supported browsers.

I've been using Codebook for ~4 years now, and have never regretted it. I chose it partly because it offered migration (which worked nicely) from the abandonware I'd been using for years. It has more features than I need, as I'm really just wanting a way to keep track so I don't try to spend the same money twice. There are a few quirks, and areas it could improve, which is always the case, and it does what I need, so I'm quite satisfied.

I have used Codebook to manage my passwords for many years. I sync with my phone and desktop. It is easy to use and sync. I recently had an issue with the latest upgrade. I submitted my issue on-line to tech support and they answered quickly and resolved my issue. Great app on desktop and android and great service!

I couldn't live without Codebook! I have all my passwords, PINs, sensitive info, there and I access it EVERY. SINGLE. DAY! It's very user-friendly, it has the capacity to store a ton of stuff, and guess what? When I changed my laptop and/or phone, I didn't have to pay again for it, I just used the key/phone credentials to reinstall it. Their customer support is outstanding, responds very quickly and basically answers all of you questions! I've been using it for more than a decade and I will keep on using it as long as I can! I don't know what else to say than I LOVE IT! Highly recommend it, since it's a great bang for the buck!
