About this app

The 2Books application is a modern book reader in English with a parallel translation of the text into Russian.

Parallel text (bilingual) is a method of teaching a foreign language by reading books with translation. This is one of the most accessible methods for self-study of a foreign language. Parallel translation of books is similar to the reading method invented by Ilya Frank. Memorization of English words and speech turns occurs due to the constant repetition of words in the text. You are just reading a book and learning the language.

For beginners to learn the language, adapted English books are available for free by levels: Beginner, Elementary, Intermediate, Upper-Intermediate, Advanced. For the more advanced - classic English literature and modern English books in the original.

Choose between works that you can: start with short stories in English for beginners, gradually moving on to larger literary forms. Try to find books that are interesting for you - romance novels, fantasy, science fiction, detective stories and many other genres.

This app is perfect, exactly what I've been looking for. There's a great number of various, gripping books (both graded readers and books in original). The dictionary is really great (actually, there are several of them, so that you can compare the translations/ choose the one you like best). Opportunities to add new vocab in your personal dictionary, download lists of words, add them to Anki app are amazing. I DO love this app, thank you for creating it.
