About this app

You don't have to buy an expensive IP camera. Just install the app on your old smartphone and use it over Wi-Fi for a video surveillance system.

App has built-in RTSP-server to stream the video and audio for network live broadcast.
Install the Home Security Camera software on your computer (http://www.home-security-camera.com) and record everything that happens in your home while you are away with an intelligent motion detector.

You can view P2P live streaming and events through motion captured recordings. Home Security Camera helps you see your loved ones health or find out what your pets are up to.

Security Camera will stream video over Wi-Fi from your phone camera using RTSP protocol.
Use a connection string like:
rtsp://admin:admin@192.168.0.100:1935

USE MOBILE PHONE AS AN IP CAMERA

1) Install Home Security Camera

2) Add new camera
Enter rtsp address from Security Camera like:
rtsp://admin:admin@192.168.0.100:1935

Where:
• admin: admin - default login and password (you can change it in settings)
• 192.168.0.100 - mobile phone IP address in your local network
• 1935 - connection port (you can change it in settings)

3) View rtsp stream

Works as advertised. I however needed to disable Androids power saver which killed the app every now and then due to high power consumption. I would love if I were able to lock the focus of the camera.

I want to like it, but it overloads my phone(samsung s10) and co stantly errors out. I'm connecting threw my pc and things just keep getting worse. Have to reset the app on phone and pc every 20 minutes. Could be a good program but it has been ridiculous trying to get the simple things to work. PC hog and phone hog. Both, completly unnecessary.

This software is amazing: simple but effective. For a 5 star experience, I only miss two functions. 1. Timestamping and some extra data (like battery left). 2. Autostart on Android boot.
