This is our legacy app. Check out our new app, iOverlander 2, also on the Play Store!

iOverlander is a database of places for overlanders and travelers. It includes camping, hotels, restaurants, mechanics, water, propane filling and may other categories. This app has a lot of potential. The great camping, water stations, showers, and other locations are beta that can be difficult or impossible to find on Google. But the interface and functionality of this app are terrible. There's no search function and the display is bad too. It's hard to just tell what city I'm look at. I'd be willing to deal with these design flaws if the app was actually stable. This thing seems to crash every 1-5 minutes.

We just released iOverlander 2, you should really look at it. The Legacy version of the iOverlander app is very buggy we know. We had to build an entirely new app, with many more features as we cannot update this version anymore. Search for iOverlander 2 on the play store.

I'm a long distance motorcycle rider who most recently completed the Pan-American Highway from North to South - Deadhorse and Tuk to Ushuaia. I personally found the app to be virtually useless. I tried to use it but rarely found it helpful and never once successfully found what I hoped to find. Data is reliant upon users, lacks detail, lacks relevence, often old and outdated info and is entirely subjective relative to user experience. One man's life is another man's adventure.

Hi, we are always looking to improve the experience for our users, and really appreciate the feedback. If there is anything specific we can look into, please contact us at support@ioverlander.com. With the release of iOverlander 2, a "clean up" of the database is in process. V2 may be more useful to you in the future.

The app is practically useless. You can't actually search a location other than where you are located. Every time I try to scroll the map to search a different area then where I am located it crashes. So if you are planning a trip this app won't help you as you have to be located near where you trying to find a spot. I downloaded this app since compendium has gone away and everyone recommended this to me but I find it impossible to use.
