Ratings and reviews

The app is terrible. I tried it after using the website, and wow, I am grateful for the website. The search function and browsing works fine, but anything related to data entry or more than basic browsing is rough. My concern is less about the inconvenience, but for how poorly the front end is done, it makes me concerned about processing my CC or other information through it. I recommend the regular old website.

Buggy and non-intuitive interface. I regularly have issues with clicking on a campground pin on the map and having it show a completely different campground. Add to that, when you book through recreation.gov, your money doesn't necessarily go back to the parks that you are staying in and enjoying. It goes to Booz Allen Hamilton, a government contractor specializing in military intelligence. Not exactly environmentally friendly.

It looks nice it works well for most use cases but for high stress timed entry orders, you can't cancel if you accidentally picked the wrong time. First of all I find that unacceptable that that use case has not been developed and deployed. I can't be the only person who's ever made a mistake. Been developing apps like this for 25 years and I can't imagine how that would be a difficult method to create.
