This is my favorite news app and serves me just the right amount of notifications. It also frustrates me frequently: 1. When scrolling, it is way too easy to swipe, sending me to another article and making me lose my place. I never want to access the next article that way. 2. Dynamic articles are so obnoxious I give up reading them. They take a while to load, then I accidentally swipe and have to reload, over and over. 3. Search is worthless 4. No recipe box for saving. Search is worthless.

The ads in the WaPo games section are excessive. If you hit "skip" after 30 seconds, the info icon for the ad's sponsor (in the form of a question mark) is hidden under Skip, so you are taken to the company's website. If you go back, as your reward, you are forced to watch the ad AGAIN. If you are interrupted during your game, still with the app open, when you go back, you get to watch another ad (a full 60 seconds when you don't hit SKIP). And it's all Exxon ads....

I had an online subscription to the Post for years - it's still active, but will expire in November. However, the content is interrupted by continuous ads that I must scroll past - despite the fact I'm personally paying for the content. I thought the case might be different if I got the app, but it's not. The app offers no advantage over the WP website - still bombarded by ads. A sad situation for one of the US's two newspapers of record.
