The Nærvær app contains guided mindfulness meditations, yoga nidra, Yinmind and mindful hatha yoga.
The Nærvær app is free and in Danish. New meditations are published continuously. Everyone can use the app, both beginners and experts.
The exercises have different lengths and can be adapted to the time frame you have available. The intention with the Nærvær app is to provide recharging breaks where the nervous system can calm down. By using the meditations regularly, you will be able to achieve more focus, inner peace and general well-being.
Mindfulness is training in being present in the present and practicing one's spaciousness and ability to make conscious choices. Through mindfulness, it is possible to stabilize the nervous system, release resources and strengthen presence and calmness. Through evidence-based studies, mindfulness has been shown to have a beneficial effect on e.g. reduction of stress and anxiety.
The meditations are narrated by mindfulness facilitator and yoga teacher Lars Damkjær. For 22 years, he has taught and coached people to find direction in life and to live with less stress and more presence.
Lars is a trained MBSR instructor (mindfulness based stress reduction), which is research-based mindfulness developed by Jon Kabat Zinn. These courses are recognized and used by the healthcare system in large parts of the world.
Lars is also the author of the book "Less stress, more presence" and is part of Denmark's largest yoga online community Yogavivo. He is also the founder of Yinmind yoga and has trained 120 Yinmind yoga instructors.
