The Read EU CBS application is the official application of the Republic of Serbia for checking the certificates on the results of testing, vaccination and recovery from the infectious disease COVID-19.
With the help of this application, the CBS of the Republic of Serbia that are EU compatible can be checked, as well as all certificates of the European Union countries.
The application is intended for use by inspection services and the Border Police Administration, as well as all services of the Republic of Serbia that control the validity of covid certificates according to authorizations.
How does the application work?
When you launch the app on your device, clicking the Scan button will launch the camera on your phone. Simply position the QR code of the person for whom you are validating in the provided box on the phone. In just a few seconds, the QR code will be loaded automatically (whether the person has a QR code in paper or digital form) and the system will check whether the certificate is valid or not.
• Green status indicates that the certificate is valid.
• A red status indicates that the certificate is not valid.
• If you receive a warning that the QR code cannot be read, it means that the certificate is not valid.
Also, the name and surname of the certificate holder will be displayed, as well as the date of birth.
Data protection
When scanning a certificate, data is not recorded on the device.
The QR code is protected by an electronic signature and cannot be forged.
The Office for IT and eGovernment has published an application for and on behalf of the Institute of Public Health of Serbia "Dr Milan Jovanović Batut".
