I was drawn to Readest for the built in edge TTS, which sounds great. Much better than the default android TTS. I love the app, and I'm impressed with the functionality. Negatives: I'd love for the pages to turn along with the TTS. Currently, the book only catches up to TTS at the start of a new chapter. Also the app frequently crashes after exiting to another app and returning.

This is perhaps my favorite eBook reading app. It's not the most intuitive but it crams in a lot of functionality in a clean way. It also has one of the best TTS features. This latest version 0.9.71 seems to have broken the Edge TTS voices, which unfortunately are the best voices available. If your phone has other TTS engines, those probably will still work. I'm hoping for a fix to the edge TTS voices.

I love it. I could highlight using different colors for free. That's a plus. Though quite complicated at first. But as long as you're patient it is REWARDING. I'm going to keep using this app. 10/10. Though please add an option to change the color of the fonts. It's complicated to customize the light and dark just in order for me to change the color. But overall, wonderful.
