The Colibrio Reader is an implementation of the Colibrio Reader Framework, the most advanced development framework for building digital reading systems.

Colibrio Reader supports all of the features in EPUB3, including,

We have chosen to make this app free to all to help people that are looking for an accessible e-reader and to help promote EPUB as a format. And, also to promote our framework of course 😊

I found this app got what I needed as an epub3 reader, however after updating the tablets and phone to have a different UI. Im disappointed in my phone experience, I was desperately trying to find a way to get the scroll mode and other customizations. Are there future plans to be able to switch tablet mode and phone mode in the app?

I like it how it's simple and useful I only miss custom fonts and tap to speech when you use tts I mean taping a specific paragraph to read aloud ,also scrolling is laggy sometimes

4 stars because this is currently the best option for reading epub3 media overlays (ie immersive reading or whispersync) books on android other than using actual whispersync/kindle. I've tried a few others and they all have there fair share of issues, bookfusion, storyteller, etc. I find myself switching between them often but this is the best I've seen.

We have been hard at work on new features in the framework. These have now made their way to the app.

Some notable improvements:
• Clear all text size and line height specified by the publisher. Handy for books that have large variation of text sizes for example.
• New Search, Define and Translate options in the text selection menu.
