About this app

Drive Weather helps you travel smarter by showing exactly where and when you’ll encounter hazardous weather along your route.

Starting in Version 10 connect Drive Weather to Android Auto and see your route with weather along the way and route navigation on Android Auto.

The app visualizes weather, wind speed and direction, temperature, radar, and National Weather Service alerts, including watches, warnings, and advisories, all based on your chosen departure time. Whether you're navigating a quick trip or a cross-country drive, Drive Weather helps you see conditions before they happen.

What makes Drive Weather different? Its clean, intuitive interface transforms complex weather data into a glanceable timeline, helping you quickly spot the safest time to leave and the best route to take. Avoid headwinds, reduce fuel costs, and stay ahead of dangerous conditions - deal for truckers, RVers, Bikers, and road trippers alike.

A good driving weather app - worth the subscription price. Visually I find it difficult to distinguish between some icons (e.g. heavy vs moderate) - might be helpful if tapping an icon gave a word description. It seems that occasionally when zoomed out the icons are for a road near your route, but not actually on it, and zooming in shows a different forecast on your actual route. The ability to adjust starting time and see weather, temperature, and wind helps avoid hazardous road conditions.

Thx for your review. The forecast would not be different if it were on the route as NWS data doesn't provide pin point accuracy but covers an area. Clustering gives a cleaner read, the worst conditions are shown when zoomed out then more data is filled in when zooming in. You can turn off clustering in the settings. 350 char max - email for details

A solid trip planning tool. If you're in a speed governed truck, remember to adjust that on the app. I'm limited at 65mph, so I set the app for 90% of the speed limit. Edit one year later: I'm changing from 5 to 4 stars. It's still a good app for trip planning in inclement weather, but too many features are hidden behind the pay-wall. Now I'm off to drive a 70ft long, 13"6' tall box into hurricane Debby with no wind speed numbers to work with. Wish me luck!

Really enjoy this product. I've been using the free version for about a year. Many times, I have considered paying for the full version, but I can't justify the $15 annual subscription. I take a long trips and this gives me a good idea of what I'm driving into along. Many times, I've stopped in areas just before a snow storm or bad thunderstorm is about to hit and waited it out or found other routes where I'm not on a major road driving in bad weather conditions.
