Hello everyone!

If you are a user of the older Insteon for Hub app, are using a Hub 2 (2245-222), and haven’t yet tried this newer app version, here are some great enhancements to know about:

This app is an entirely new experience, redesigned to simplify how you manage your home. Bold tiles give you quick access to your devices and scenes. New one-touch actions make it easy to quickly control multiple devices in your home all from the same screen. And adding favorites is now as simple as tapping a single icon.

The app also brings new features to Insteon, including a Schedules view that makes it easier to see what’s happening in your home throughout the day. We’ve also added one of the most-requested features to schedules: sunrise and sunset offsets, so your scenes can occur up to 4 hours before or after the sun goes up or down in your local area.

We’ve added sensor check-in tracking so that if your sensor supports heartbeat broadcasts, we will let you know when it’s time to check the battery or other communication issues.

You’ll also find that everything in the app is faster. From logging in to navigating between screens, you can expect a faster, fluid experience. Statuses display quickly—no more waiting for each individual device to update. You’ll see the most significant improvements in creating and editing scenes. We’ve completely overhauled how we manage scene updates, in many cases bringing the experience down from minutes to seconds (depending on scene complexity).

New version is terrible! As others have said tiles for the devices are HUGE! you can only see a row (of two) and a half of tiles. Please restore the smaller icons!! Sunrise and sunset don't have offset times like turn off on 30 mins before sunset as that's when it's dark enough that I need the light on! I'm going to see if I can get the old app back. DO NOT UPGRADE!

Night and day compared to the absolute $H!T app they have had all this time. It "feels" like it's made with web-pages though, not a native app -- I could be wrong. But still, much nicer, cleaner more modern UI/UX. I only have 2 plugs, so I can't complain about lack of support for other devices. I would have ditched Insteon long ago honestly, but those plugs are the only ones I have found that will DIM a light (most other smart plugs are on/off only). Glad to see this product/company aren't dead as I thought given the stagnant app. Oh, I will also add they were extremely helpful long ago when my hub died. I sent it to them and they fixed it free (long after warranty expired). I think they even paid for shipping both ways IIRC.

Wow guys! This app is very buggy. The devices menu does not show you the actual status of your devices. You have to select the device to see if it's ON or OFF. I set a schedule to turn ON one of my outdoor dimmer lights to come on at 25% level. It comes on at 100%. There is no way to type in a percentage level, you have to use a slider which will not let you put it at a specific level. I also have setup a notification to alert me when one of my devices turns ON. I have yet to get an alert. I have an opened case - 1127632. I hope these issues get fixed soon. I really like these devices and they have been working pretty reliably so far. But this app is a mess.
