Accessibility disclosure (DoomScrollStopper)
This app uses the Android AccessibilityService API for an optional feature called “DoomScrollStopper.” When enabled by the user in Settings, the service listens only for app-foreground change events to detect when selected social media apps (e.g., TikTok, Instagram) are actively on screen and for how long. After a user-defined threshold, NeuroVie shows a gentle, dismissible reminder to take a break.
What Accessibility is NOT used for:
• We do not read typed text, chat content, or passwords.
• We do not capture audio or screen content.
• We do not change system settings or control other apps.
• We do not collect personal or sensitive data from Accessibility events.
User control and transparency:
• The feature is off by default and works only after you explicitly enable “NeuroVie – Accessibility” in Android Settings.
• You can turn it off at any time in Settings.
• Reminders are configurable and purely for wellbeing/screen-time management.
