At first, I didn't know if this would work in the US but wanted to try it anyway and downloaded it; YES, it DOES work in the US and on US products. The app scans the barcode and gives you the name of the product and if it contains insects or not. I would like the app maker to have one for foods now using "Lab-Grown" & "3-D" products. Hope It Comes Soon !!!

It is a fictional app. I scanned a product which states that it has cochineal bugs as colouring and the app shows: no bugs! If the developers didn't bother to include cochineal in the list of insects, then it's a rubbish app. I recommend Yuka app which tells you about insects including cochineal and about many other things and also can recommend an alternative product.

Great concept! Very convenient easy way to check on the go if a product contains any food additive from insects, which are mostly toxic for human metabolism and hematogenesis. Please add Hermetia illucens, which now has been started to be added into bread in since counties, like Russia for now. Thanks.
