Hunter Davidson (Blazephlozard)
This was a truly fantastic experience to 100% complete. From gameplay to art and music, it's perfectly crafted and a blast to play. I love this devloper, and want to play more of his work. One complaint I have is that the best way to reach the final level, by far, is with 1 or 2 large combos which grow exponentially, completely ignoring the recipes system. Also, the puzzles reward so many more seeds than playing the main game, it's not worth caring about going for them.

Poinpy felt like a passionately developed, expertly and meticulously crafted, fun, complete product. Barely. I get the feeling that this was under a restricted deadline and budget, because there's so so much more room to explore this concept. There's almost no endgame, the medal system seems like an afterthought. It was not very intensely QA tested, higher level play becomes frustrating once you notice how bad/confusing the hitboxes are, poinpy's animation doesn't necessarily match his hitbox

Downwell is a modern classic. Poinpy inherits its vertical charm while taking a completely different approach to gameplay in several directions. Pros: great art and animations, rewarding, skill-based but smooth learning curve, feels good to play Cons: can frustrate at times, the core loop quickly loses novelty, could use more progression incentives Verdict: a standout arcade mobile game that's bulls**** free and worth your time. It could use a little more content to be truly great.
