Allows SHIELD TV remote services including SHIELD TV app for iOS/Android. To learn more, go to https://www.nvidia.com/shield-app/. Service requires audio permissions to allow Google Assistant voice commands from SHIELD TV app. This app is only supported on SHIELD devices and it is not meant to be installed on other devices. This app is not meant to function independently, and it cannot be launched since it is a service. It is a companion app for SHIELD TV Remote app.

Love having this option when a remote isn't handy. It's also great to use the keyboard feature when the need arrives, like writing this review. The remote app also works great for those pesky apps that don't have typical remote control compatibility. It's a must have app if you a Shield.

This cheaply made odd monolithic Sheild Pro TV Remote control is faulty, zero left motion. Was looking for an app based remote control to work on a Samsung Ultra-22; a device standard, yet it's not supported?! What good is this then? Please advise... Best, CT
