The PerioSupportPro application helps patients with gingivitis to learn about the correct ways to fight the disease. This provides both written information and explanatory videos on how the patient should correctly use the toothbrush, dental floss and interdental brush. In addition, a timer can be used, which the user can use to be sure that the practice is for the minimum duration recommended by the dentist. Patients are encouraged to return to the application through digital medals that they earn when they follow the recommended techniques. Moreover, they are reminded daily by notifications to follow their treatment. We believe that all these steps will help patients to more easily form a habit of taking proper care of their teeth, thus having beneficial physical effects. This will be monitored and tested by the dentist.
