About this app

Let the chimes of Big Ben help keep you on time. Never lose track of time again while shopping, working, reading or studying.

Every 15 minutes this app can play Big Ben's Westminster Chimes, providing a subtle reminder of the current time -- hopefully keeping you from getting so involved in a project that you completely lose track of the time. Or you may choose to install the Bonger just for fun -- become a mobile time-keeping machine.

(I use it to keep moving and stay on time in the morning:
6:45 - Shower and get dressed
7:15 - Breakfast
7:30 - Feed the Cat
7:45 - Leave for work
8:00 - If I'm past the Harrisburg exit, I know I'm gonna be on time)

Setup is easy and the options are few:
* You can choose Big Ben or any of 3 other clock chimes.
* You can select any combination of quarter-hour chimes, from every 15 minutes to just once an hour.
* Two screen modes: either Normal or Darker mode.
* On days when you're feeling less bold, you can change from using Big Ben's chimes to those of an antique mantle clock or a noble Grandfather clock.

See our website 'www.BigBenBonger.com' for a demo video and more detailed information.

Big Ben Bonger will not get in your way. Simply minimize the app and Big Ben will bong for you all day while you use your phone or tablet normally.

Just a basic app -- simple to use -- does exactly what it says it will -- no ads or unnecessary notifications. Works whether your phone has signal or not; even works in Airplane Mode.

It has support for lots of languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Russian, Turkish, Arabic, Hindi, Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese. Do you think it could be of use to you?

The familiar sound of Big Ben would be a great addition to your Android device.

I fixed it. Turned out that my phone needed to be rebooted. Other than my hiccup that I just had, I love this app. I actually depend on this Big Ben Bonger app. I use it at work, when I need to get to a doctor's appointment, dentist appointment keeping. I really like how you can actually hear the sound effects of the clicking sound of the clock mechanism and stuff. Nice touch! I use this app for both Westminster chime and the clicking noise of the clock mechanism. Keep this up!

Thank you for your nice comments and the 5 stars. I use it like you ... making sure I get to appointments and work on time. I'm happy it works well for you. If it gives you any grief, check out the suggestions at "BigBenBonger.com".

Yes! This is the app I didn't know I needed all this time. I find the chimes both comforting and useful at keeping me productive (because I tend to daydream and lose track of time). After testing this free version for a few hours and loving it, I decided to buy the plus version, not so much because I needed extra features, but as thanks to the developer for making a great, ad-free app that doesn't sell my data. Be sure to follow directions to disable battery optimization so it works correctly!

Thank you so much for your nice comment and the 5 stars. I wish there was a way to avoid the Battery Optimization steps, but so far I have been unable to find a way to do that. Thank you for buying the PLUS version.

What it does is great. 2 very annoying flaws for me. On Android; I would like it not to turn off when I press close all. It should have it's own off in the app. I would like the volume to be independent of the system. Let the volume be set in the app not by the keys. There must be a way to keep apps open after close all. I have 4 that never close unless I drag down the bar and swipe Them away.

Thank you for your comment. When you press Close All, the Android operating system kills all apps without exception. There really isn't much I can do about that. I am not happy either that the app changes the master phone volume. I have not been able to find a way to do that. When I do, you can be assured it will appear in the next update.
