Ratings and reviews

I had a good first impression of Piere, but had to update from 5/5 to 2/5 once the cracks began to show. The biggest issue is the extremely limited, unintuitive, and often incorrect categorization of transactions. Budgets and every other feature depend on transactions being categorized accurately, which is impossible due to the incompetent design. It's baffling that they keep adding unuseful features, which depend on accurate categorization of transaction, while ignoring the root issue.

The app no longer crashes, and I was able to get all my accounts connected, which is awesome! Some of my accounts keep expiring, though, and I have to go in and manually tell them to reconnect, which is really annoying. Also, this app has no widgets like Mint did, so I can't put my key summary metrics on my home screen (i.e Net Worth, Credit Card total amount, etc.).

My main reason for using Mint was that it was a convienient way to look at various accounts all at once. It served that purpose well for many years, but I was disappointed when they shut down and the alternatives were often bloated with features I didn't need, tons of invasive ads, and couldn't even connect to my bank accounts properly. Piere is the first banking app where I had no issues connecting my accounts, and the interface is very streamlined and I can see my account information easily.
