Work Countdown enables you to calculate how many working days remain until your month of retirement, or the total number of days from today to a future date (days calculator).
Two widgets of difference sizes are available. Please install 1 or 2 of them in order to view the day counts at a glance on the home screen.
for work countdown, enter either retirement date or birth year and month+ retirement age. Enter the number of vacation days and holidays per year (up to 260) and click on 'Calculate'. the app will display the total number of remaining work days and total number of days including vacations, holidays and weekends, both on the results page and on the widget.

The app assumes 5 workdays per week. In case your work schedule is different, enter the number of vacations+holidays as follows: determine how many days you work per year and substract it from 260.

To use the app as a day calculator, select 'by RETIREMENT DATE', enter the future date and ignore the vacation+holidays field. The results screen and the widget will display the number of days until the future date including vacations, holidays and weekends..

The screen displaying the results is updated dynamically.
30 background colors may be selected.
The Contact+images screen displays a large number of travel images. Tapping on an image enables viewing a larger version of the image in your browser's window.

I'm a teacher and want an app that will let me count down just the school days left until summer vacation. This is the only app I found that allows you to skip more than just weekends, but it's not accurate. I put in 5/27/26 with 28 vacation days. it calculated 174 days from 8/26/25. it should be 168 days.

This is a basic no frills app that is very easy to use and can accurately calculate how many work days left until retirement, a trip or whatever. I sent the developer an idea for a widget. There are no ads or nag screens. Update #2, I contacted the developer about the widget he made after my suggestion and he made modifications based on my suggestion, and it's much improved. It is great that the developer is receptive to messages that benefit both the user and developer. Thanks!

Works good and simple to use, need larger widgets as one option is to small.
