About this app

Fractal Eye uses your phone's graphics card and complex mathematics to generate intricate high-resolution fractal images!

Fractals are naturally-occurring phenomena that many find to have great intrinsic beauty. There are countless examples of real-world fractals that are found throughout nature -- from trees and riverbeds to coastlines and mountain ranges -- even your own DNA! The first well-studied mathematical fractal - the Mandelbrot Set - was discovered in the 1980's and marked the beginning of an era filled with fractal creation and exploration. Fractal Eye serves to further this pursuit and show by example what a fractal truly is.

* Explore popular fractals like the Mandelbrot Set and Burning Ship!
* Zoom in by a factor of 1,000,000,000,000 (1 trillion) on multiple fractals!
* Create stunning images with intricate detail!
* Make precise changes to fractal shape, texture, color, position, and more!
* Save images directly to your gallery to share or use as wallpapers!

It seems like a cool app but i can't figure out how to use it. The tutorial freezes up and won't let me past the second little part where it tells you to zoom in to highlighted area to continue. Then i have to close the app because it's unresponsive. I tried a few times.

I will look into the tutorial issues! Here's the basics: In position mode, use one finger to pan and use two fingers to zoom/rotate. In color mode, swipe with left to right to cycle through colors, and use two fingers to change the frequency. In shape/texture mode, use the sliders or swipe in any direction with one finger to change parameters!

This app is honestly ridiculously amazing for how simple and intuitive it is to use, I love the ability to apply a Julian transform to all the available functions, being able to apply different textures at varying levels of fineness in real time. It's serious crazy how well everything ends up working out. I do have a few suggestions, perhaps put a slider for the escape radius value or perhaps implement a system like the parameters adjuster with a pinch set sensitivity to account for exponents.

Seems decent so far but weirdly missing a randomise option. Would definitely be one of the best fractal apps on the playstore if it had the option. Edit to reply to dev: yeah, very much like mandelbrowsers randomisation option. Edit 2: randomise feature added in! Upped rating to 5 stars, a great feature and the developer listening to feedback. Perfect.
