Have been a UPS Authorized shipping location for over a decade. Have been a UPS access point as well since it's inception. We ship about 150 boxes a day for UPS, the fact that they took away provided scanners and told us to go buy our own device is insulting to begin with. The fact that the app regularly crashes (sometimes after scanning 10-20 boxes) is extremely aggravating. I have to reboot the app and rescan them all every time this happens. The camera scanner is also just terrible.

My experience with this has been difficult after being force from a ups provided device to the mobile app. Scanning parcel with a busy store is proving difficult as the camera is not reading majority of bar codes on shipping labels. Not to mention customers with multiple parcel. It an android 12 device and the barcode shows clearly on the app via the camera. There should be a work around maybe connecting an actual scanner to mobile device which I tried but the app does recognize the scan.

Absolutely awful. They discontinued the scanners and forced us to have this app. I don't want customers touching my mobile! What if they drop it or steal it? Also, once you've downloaded the app, you have to phone UPS to activate it, plus you have to give them the serial number of your mobile phone. I don't want them having that. It's disgraceful. There was nothing wrong with the handsets. All these recent low-rated reviews are completely justified.
