Just downloaded it and this does exactly what I wanted it for. There are only two settings available to adjust the new dimming overlay for my phone and nothing else. Simple and easy. I was concerned that this'd still be active the next morning and I wouldn't be able to see my screen well enough to turn it back off; so I made a new restriction in my other helper app Block to automatically turn this one off at sunrise. Sounds complex but actually really simple and free, and now no worries!

Actually dims your screen and not just out an orange filter on top, like most apps. The only complaint I have is that I have it on my "quick apps" (the ones you can activate by pulling down on the screen) and, even if it's not active there, it can sometimes remain active so you have to go into the app itself

This worked great until the latest update. now the top & bottom portions of the screen are not dimmed. Only the rest of the screen is. I'm sure it's for visibility of the buttons & notification bar...but it's a horrible change & makes it so my old setting of 83% is way brighter just because the undimmed (or lesser dimmed?) portions of the screen generate far too much light. It was better before, where the entire screen dimmed uniformly.
