I figured out the issue I was having! It bases the read aloud feature based off of your devices accessibility settings- and mine were super wonky! Overall, I'm so happy this app exists for the convenience of listening to my school textbooks where ever I'm at even with my screen locked! I love it. The email listed here is not a valid email to use for support... so an update to a valid address would be great.

My go-to for online textbooks. I have used this app repeatedly for various college courses and find it incredibly reliable. It has evolved over the years for further student engagement and understanding of content. With assistive tools, such as text-to-speech function (albeit a robotic voice), allowing for even more flexibility on the go.

The user interface is just awful. Selecting a chapter from a book doesn't minimize the side bar to display the chapter selected, it just loads the chapter behind the side bar, and tapping the page to view it reloads the previous chapter selected. Back arrow? Goes back to the main library selection. The text-to-speech is an easy 7/10 though. It messes up a small handful of things like numbers/years, but for the price (nothing extra) it's fantastic.
