Why does WallHabit work?

WallHabit works by using psychology to help you use technology more mindfully. Its unique feature, where you need to do something physical to unlock apps, is like a reminder to think before you use them. This is based on research showing that when there's a physical barrier, people pause and think more about what they're doing. It's called a "commitment device," which means it helps you stick to your goals and resist temptations. Also, WallHabit can block certain parts of apps, like reels and shorts, to help you stay focused. The app is designed to be easy to use, so it can help you have a healthier relationship with technology.

Amazing after only two days. I can't speak to if this will be 5 star worthy sic months from now, but these first two days wirh WallHabit have been so helpful. I downloaded it just to block Youtube Shorts, and it does the job amazingly. I put on Youtube videos in the background while working on other tasks and didn't want to delete the app, but Shorts are just a HUGE timesink with zero benefits for me (and a negative impact on my mental health.) This does EXACTLY what I needed. Love it.

I loved this app, changed my life, but the app blocker stopped working a few weeks ago on Samsung ultra 23. I did pay for the yearly subscription and this is not acceptable. Update: The problem has been fixed and I changed my review to 5 STARS!! thanks!! However, I have to be honest and say that despite my previous reports on the past days, the issue has only been addressed after I left a review. 2nd UPDATE: the app stops working from time to time. This does not help my addiction. 1star again

This has actually saved me so much time and made me more mindful of my time on social media even without the premium feature. I no longer doomscroll and have cut down my screen time heaps. A feature I would love to be added, that might be really complex to do, is that I can view my messages on social media without going through the process to unlock the app but other than that, it is perfect.
