thought this would be the app that would mean I could use my phone as a remote but although my product is in the Aquos range it is not compatible with this app so I ended up buying another remote. not sure if the mobile device needs to have IR function capability. would make a lot of sense but mobile devices are moving away from IR to BT but Smart TVs not sure.

It needs to be Bluetooth or WiFi enabled from tv first before using this app, my phone comes with IR sensor ready but this app fail to use it. How can I enable the Bluetooth or WiFi connectivity from tv if I can't even do a thing because the tv remote is busted that is why I use this app as an alternative solution but epic failure. Bad app if it can't even use the traditional IR sensor.

Very useless, my remote is broken so I can't use it. When I press pair from the app, I need also confirm pair from the tv which I have no remote and no button on the tv to press. So in the end the pairing cannot be done.
