Ratings and reviews

I love RNZ but this app can be frustrating. For the 2nd time in about 6 weeks it has frozen and won't let me in and I am unable to listen to the radio live or recorded content. Then I have to reinstall the app to listen to the radio. Also if I am listening to a podcast in my car, each time i have to stop at a destination it obviously stops the recording but on resuming my drive the recording goes back to the beginning again rather than resuming where I left off.

Previously has worked great for me, but Android Auto is now failing. I can still get it to work through the phone, but not the car head unit, where it just errors out. The "For You" still works, but it often doesn't have RNZ National in the list. Also, it would be great if the app resumed after a "Hey Google" interruption. Spotify manages to do this.

it's recently started cutting out randomly. thought it was just due to being rural and relying on wifi for radio but it does it with podcasts as well. otherwise could be better but now BBC Sounds is inaccessible then it's up top for my listening. VERY irritating having to keep pressing 'play' all the time though, particularly in the morning for some weird reason

What’s new

The RNZ app now has dark mode to help reduce eye strain and improve battery life for devices with OLED screens. To enable dark mode navigate to My RNZ > Settings > Dark mode.
