You're much better off going to their website on a browser. The app just doesn't function up to minimum expectations imo. Some articles refuse to load. Pictures don't allow you to get a closer look, if they load in the first place. There's no bookmark or star to save an article. There isn't a button to simply copy the web link to view in a web browser. Instead, you'd have to share it to "twitter" or FB or an email to get the link. The weather buttons are broken. . . . 🤷♂️ It's a hot mess.

The app, not the news, has a lot to be desired and got even worse after the new update. Yes, other audio apps on my phone always get stopped by navigating around the MPR app due to some internal media player problem. The biggest new complaint is that there are 2-3 specific sharing links, for only Facebook, Twitter and email. Without a plain Share button to link to internal apps for sharing, this becomes a worse app than using a browser, and that's essentially all it is anyway.

Mpr News reporting is excellent. This app only intermittently works. Often when you click on a link no story loads - you just get a blank white page. Has been happening off and on for months, and only for some news articles (not all). Not a functioning news app if you can't access the news. There is nowhere in the app to report problems. This doesnt happen with any of our other news apps (wapo, nytimes, npr, cbc, cbsMN, bbc, the hill.) We are mpr members.
