About this app

With the authentication.gov.pt application, citizens can activate the Digital Mobile Key (CMD) with a video-selfie and validating their citizen card.
In this application, you can also generate a temporary security code, or use biometric validation from your mobile phone, as an alternative to the SMS code, to authenticate yourself with CMD in public or private portals.
It also has a service for managing access authorizations to your data and signing documents.

I had no trouble whatsoever with the app. It just took me 10 mins max. I had booked for a video call, and the lady was absolutely sweet and very, very helpful. She guided me through the whole process while I was on the call, and it was done. A friend of mine is having trouble registering with iPhone, and I think probably most of the users with negative comments might be facing the same issue. The best is to book a video call and get help!!

No SMS security code. I've attempted several times and have contacted both portugal.gov and Vodafone but each company blame the other. Vodafone says it's the app side and Portuguese gov says it's my network. please sort this out can't even do my passport appointment

Crashes frequently, it's not responsive and it seems to not support the activation of the new type of ID card.
