Ratings and reviews

The app is good as a guide to locate places to visit, especially if you're visiting a different location. Since it's upgrade, you can no longer record your favourite places or tick off where you've visited, so it doesn't really offer you anything more than a quick Google search now. It could be better used as a virtual membership card and save issuing those each year, with QR codes for parking and loyalty points at the cafes and to access my membership rather than through desktop

this app is basically just a directory. You can't log into your membership account, there's no virtual card - you have to carry a physical card in addition, you can't mark off places you've been or 'collect' properties. You can't flag 'want to go' and make an itinerary. Properties are all in silos rather than categories/collections of similar themed properties. NT could look at Historic Scotland for an example of an excellent app that actually adds value to your visits and membership.

This app works well enough at displaying the National Trust sites near you and giving you an approximate distance and opening times. Unfortunately, it does literally nothing else. There doesn't seem to be a way to mark locations as favourites or to make any note of where you'd like to visit, rate locations, etc and you can't access any your membership details. Even the directions to the sites is outsourced to Google Maps. I'm just not sure why it's so barebones.
