Currently, users must connect their phone to the camera's Wi-Fi to link the two devices. This is a core part of the camera's functionality as it allows users to remotely preview and control the camera, and download footage from the camera to the phone. However, the camera's Wi-Fi is a local network that does not provide internet access, meaning most users cannot access the internet once they are connected to the camera. This setup causes a lot of inconvenience, for example, in scenarios like live streaming, where users need to frequently disconnect and reconnect the camera to perform app authorization and other tasks. To address this issue, we use VpnService to route specific requests to the cellular network, preventing users from having to repeatedly disconnect and reconnect the camera.

Ratings and reviews

Absolutely abysmal for editing simple stuff. I strapped my camera to my car one evening (One x) and the recording will not stop spinning or "leaning" to left and right automatically during playback. The reason? The stabilization. Turn it off, it now stays in a single direction. The caveat now is that you can't export it as a flat video.. it's constantly a 360 video. This app might be good for people looking to do flashy editing and what but for basic editing it's absolutely trash.

App constantly crashes when using the AI editor, rendering it useless. It crashes so much that my phone wants to quarantine it in deep sleep mode. The little bit I have used that function seems like it would be decent. Hopefully, there are some fixes in the near future, or I will return back to a two gopro setup as our sponsors use the videos.

Slowly getting used to a lot of the improvements and liking most of them. One thing I would love to see fixed is being able to add dates and time were that videos were taken. When exporting them on Android they get saved to the export date. Very frustrating with keeping up with when something was actually taken. Would be nice if you could at least export it to a specific folder to organize it better. Also the stitching going from below water to above water still needs a lot of improvement.
