Our proof of concept beta testing period has ended. This app may only work regionally for new users or for existing beta testers with an existing backup of their data and settings.

*What's Next for Disa?*
We've solidified our framework and learned a lot from the beta testing period and are looking forward to releasing version 1.0.

*What are ‘Unified Conversations’?*
In case you use multiple applications to talk to the same person, you can unify all the text or video chats into one app & group all your messages in a chronological order. You could also reply on the same window by selecting the service where you want to deliver the msg.

*How to start using Disa?*
Using DISA is simple & easy. Open the app & select the service from the plugin manager list.
(After setting-up your service, your last 10 conversations will load. Don’t worry, your previous SMS & conversations are not lost; load them manually by creating a new msg with a contact or group-chat and it will appear in your conversation list.) Now just start sending text or video messages, emojis to your friends or create a group chat! No need to install apps like Telegram, FB Messenger or other SMS apps.

I love the idea behind this app, esp that the search fx works separately within individual applications, such as when i search in contacts within SMS it doesnt bring up Facebook contacts. (which is why i was on the hunt for a new messaging app) However, this app is EXTREMELY slow on my phone. it takes so long to open a message that it just wasnt worth it to make the switch from Facebook Messenger SMS to this one. I also missed my stickers & definitely the chat heads.

This app is really convenient, when it works. It ran smoothly for a few days, but would crash every time I wanted to send a picture to someone. Not only that, it made it so that my SMS couldn't send pictures until I uninstalled Disa. Everything else runs smoothly as advertised, and I would love to see it improved. Currently though, it isn't a reliable messaging app.

Hello Catherine. Sorry to hear you're having problems with Disa. We're trying to contact everyone who is reporting crashes like this in order to better understand the cause. As such would you be able to send us your Disa debug log file? Please reference this review in your email. Instructions to send it here: www.disa.im/faq.html?s=misc&q=disa_log

its exactly what I need (when it works). I'm not sure what throws the Facebook message functionality offline but I have been relying on Disa for FB messages for over a year and for whatever reason, Disa's connectivity to FB can be flaky. It used to happen only once every two months or so and I'd have to uninstall and reinstall a plugin before I was back in business. Now, it's happening much more often. Signed up for the beta testing team, though. Maybe I can help!
