satellite is an app with its own cell phone number. Independent of your current provider and reachable all over the world. Use satellite in addition to your existing mobile connection or switch completely to satellite. You make phone calls as you know it and can be reached on your mobile number by everyone - whether its friends, family or business-contacts. They don't need satellite for this, just their normal phone.

We developed satellite from scratch and even founded our own telephone company. satellite offers much more than the usual VoIP apps and makes you really independent from the big mobile phone providers.

Ratings and reviews

Not a great app with a lot of flaws. Sound quality often poor, people having difficulties to hear me, missed calls without that the phone ever rang, missed calls are not retrievable sometimes, and other technical issues. So lately I even have a bunch of incoming calls that the app doesn't manage to take, "something went wrong". Seriously, a VOIP app is unable to process incoming calls?!? In all honestly, if I didn't use this number for numerous clients already I would switch to another service.

Biggest deficit: No SMS support. Sorry, but if I get to use a phone number, I expect SMS capability. Had to search deep in the FAQ's to figure out that it is not (yet?) supported. App is useless as is for me for that reason...

Very good app for doing calls internationally. Currently 100 minutes free. Used it for Japan and it works so good! Thanks so much!
