It worked perfectly for me, and pulled me out of a tight spot at one point. There are some people with problems, I see, but to me, one caveat is that it probably reports the writing is finished before the actual buffer is flushed. My flash drive has a led that blinks when r/w and it kept blinking a while after the app said it was done. If yours doesn't have a led, just wait for a couple of minutes after the app says it's done writing.

EtchDroid is easily one of the best bootable USB creation tools available for Android, I've been in so many sketchy situations where it got me out of, because I didn't have a bootable USB and the system for corrupted on my PC, it means a lot to be able to just download any iso I want and flash it. Many other apps that claim to do the same either don't work or are riddled with ads everywhere and are proprietary, Thank you to the developer and contributors for making such an amazing application ❤️

WOW! After spending hours over several days trying to fix a dual boot issue I had and my only option to load an ISO to a usb stick was my Note 8... i was sure there was nothing available. Or if it was available it didn't work. TO MY SURPISE your app not only worked flawlessly to upload the ISO, but it really worked! my computer is fixed and I'm totally impressed! screw buying you a coffee, where do I deliver the keg??

What's new

Major rewrite of EtchDroid!

• New Material You UI, much more intuitive and easier to use!
• EtchDroid will now recover from most write failures and ask you to unplug and reconnect your USB drive
• After writing the image, it will also be verified to ensure it didn't get corrupted
• The DMG functionality has been removed; use an older version if you still need it
