This app is useful for devices with no native shortcut to enable or disable NFC feature that is especially used for contactless payment.

Pressing the application icon simply launches the native settings of your device where the NFC configuration is and indicates if enabled or disabled.

Example of use: quickly disable NFC after using it with a contactless payment to limit piracy.

It's not really understandable why the pixel 9 series doesn't have a shortcut to Bluetooth on and off in the quick access pull down. I don't have non-pixel Android phones so this same shortcoming may exist on all current Android phones. If that's the case then it's even less understandable. Why a shortcut to NFC is not available via the quick access pull down. In any event, this app does an admirable job of giving us a reasonable shortcut that can be put on your home screen or elsewhere.

Takes me straight to the NFC control so that I can switch it on and off. I think later Android versions don't allow apps to switch it on and off, so this is the next best thing and this is basically the quickest way to get to it. I use it in conjunction with the Kardia heart monitor app which won't work with NFC enabled.

Ignore the mean and unnecessary one star reviews this is a simple app that opens the on/off screen. This is useful eg to allow quick access to turn the wallet functionality off and on where your phone doesn't secure it by default. Note: your phone may already have a notification shortcut that provides this functionality, but if not this app supplies it (but not in the notification area which might be a useful addition).
