honestly since they fixed the performance issues the game isn't as bad, but I still lost ALL my game history (1000+ games), and now there's an annoying leaderboard message that pops up WAY larger than it should after every game. No way to turn it off either unless I opt out of leaderboards entirely. I liked the little points message but not when it takes up a third of my screen when I like to rapid fire games one after another.

This is minesweeper. Easy enough. Except you need an internet connection. No ads, yet you need the connection. Your scores are also saved. Don't want them saved? We'll save it anyways, you know, just in case. Yes I'm passive aggressive here, same as the game. I plays smooth but you shouldn't need internet access for minesweeper. Take that how you will.

I've been playing this version of Minesweeper for a while now.... years? And the fact that I've stuck with it means that yes, I've liked it. Until this new 1.2.8 version was released. It feels like a complete rewrite of the game and that's a problem because it's gotten VERY slow. Before, every tap was basically instantaneous, but now? There's a very noticable delay and quite frankly, it makes the game unplayable, especially since it's a timed game where you're trying to find all the mines fast.
