Note: This app uses Local LLMs to run. The app downloads a 4GB Large Language Model (LLM / brains of the AI) after the it starts for the first time. This is only needed once. This technology is VERY new, right now we only support the latest flagship phones (8GB+ RAM). If your phone does not meet the minimum requirements, you may experience degraded performance. We are working hard to bring Layla to more devices.

Best offline mobile app there is. Lots of features and micro apps [free not micro transition, but consumes hard drive space some extensively hence why not part if the base model]. The better your phone, the better the app. Lite works decently for 2020-2022 model phones, yet the full version really requires a 2023 or 2024 flagship model. Runs .gguf LLM models, so if you find one you'd rather use than base model... you can switch to what suits you and still have functionality. I highly recommend.

Update 9/2024: Developer working extremely hard to keep app updated and advancing in technology. This is the first ChatGPT app that doesn't require internet for any type of usage. My phone lacks the power for more advanced use so be warned. Spps stability and speed is solely based on your devices performance. So if it's slow. New device time. Original Feedback 8/2024: This ish is so frickin slow. It's terribly built. A memory succubus and app space nightmare. UI ugly. Please make improvements

Overall, it's a good start towards offline AI usage. However, there is significant room for improvement. The hands-free version is still missing, which is a major drawback. It doesn't make sense to have to push a button to use voice call functionality, as this requires holding the smartphone continuously and drains the battery quickly. A hands-free version, similar to what character.ai offers, would provide a more practical experience. If not used for around 4 hours, it "asks" to be reloaded..!?
