Peak Finder is an application that will help you find peaks, hiking trails and log your ascents or treks and create plans.

Peak Finder offers some very intuitive interaction, you can add your ascents or treks manually or let the app retrieve data from your GPX file of your activity.

Peak Finder runs a background location monitor(can be turned off) that automatically updates offline peaks region so you can have your offline map ready at any time.

Background monitor also checks for summited peaks in an adaptive way(shorter intervals when you are in a mountain area), so you get your summits even if you are not recording an activity.

Peak Finder offers a feature called Eagle Eye that(in case turned on) sends update of your location when you are in the mountains.
In the Eagle Eye activity you will be able to see where in the mountains your friends currently hike or were hiking.

Absolutely useless!! I paid $4 on September 9th. I have not received my confirmation email (yes I have checked my junk email), I cannot access the app, I tried to open it again and then trying to login, it takes me back to the same screen for payment. Yesterday I was billed an additional $100 and still no email. All I want is my money back. I would like to send you the icon and my bank statements to show you. Unless you have changed from PF into peaks? Is there another way I can correspond?

The full functionality cannot be purchased, but only rented by paying hefty recurring subscription fees ad infinitum -- and even that does not remove advertisements completely, it merely reduces them. Three other apps of this type can be bought instead of rented, so feel free to guess what replaced this milkingware, which is being uninstalled as we speak.

Complete garbage. So far as I can tell does NOT work. Wish I could give it less than one star. Glitchy, miserable crapola of an app. Warning, Warning, Warning Do not waste your time. Damn sure do NOT send any money to buy any level of subscription. Paying money to subscribe does not make app work in anyway.
