It's useful for remembering when to water plants, which soil and pots are best for the plants, and I was able to use the community section to get help for one of my plants. The identification system seems to work pretty well (I'm not into botany so I can't say for sure). I don't understand why there is a point system, or why it has social media aspects. The free trial thing is also pretty sneaky, it just sends an email once the week is up.

It's helpful with its reminders for watering & fertilizing but there are a few things I think could be improved: more choices for planting medium and pot type. Also having the same type of plant in a pot with a drainage hole vs without doesn't alter the watering frequency which it should. I don't think it takes weather into consideration even if your plants are outside. Lately when I click my push notification it tells me the Oasis is private and asks me to download the app

Good idea—may get better. I like the idea of it but it makes you take pictures of your plants which is fine, except you might have better photos of your plant already on your phone and it's duplicated work. Google lens can use the camera and also gallery, where this one can't. No Flash photography is also a major, but fixable problem. It wasn't always accurate and you have to click view other plants and then type in stuff. it should just happen in that same screen.
