Motion Augmentat-inator turns your phone into a live motion-detection camera. Point it at anything, and it highlights movement on screen in real time - no waiting, no cloud, no processing anywhere but your own device.
WHAT IT DOES
- Live motion highlighting: a continuously-adapting background model flags anything that moves, with an adjustable sensitivity slider so you can dial out noise (leaf shimmer, sensor grain) without missing real motion.
- Digital zoom, plus real optical zoom and lens switching on supported phones.
- Sensitivity zones: draw "ignore this area" boxes over anything that moves on its own (a fan, a road, a flag) so it stops triggering false detections.
- Heatmap / trail mode: see a color-graded trail of where motion has recently happened, not just this instant's movement, with an adjustable trail duration.
- Auto-record: recording starts automatically when motion is detected and keeps going for as long as motion continues, plus a short tail after it stops.
- Snapshot on motion, saved automatically at an interval you control.
- Manual exposure, ISO, frame rate, and focus controls (device-dependent), plus a focus-peaking overlay to help you nail manual focus.
- Mask-only and greyscale display modes, and a low-light brightness boost.
Everything runs locally, frame by frame, on your phone. Nothing is uploaded anywhere - see the privacy policy for details.
POSSIBLE USES
- Wildlife watching and hunting: mount your phone on a feeder, trail, or blind and catch movement you might otherwise miss, without dedicated trail-cam hardware. Always follow your local hunting and wildlife-viewing regulations regarding electronic aids - these vary by state and season, and it is your responsibility to know and follow them.
- Light industrial or shop use: point it at a machine, belt, or process to get a visual flag when something starts moving or vibrating that shouldn't be. This is a visual aid only, not a calibrated vibration sensor or safety interlock, and must never be used as either.
- Casual, short-term area monitoring: keep half an eye on a driveway, yard, porch, or workspace while you're nearby or stepping away briefly. This is NOT a security system. There are no alerts, no notifications, no remote viewing, and no cloud storage - if you walk away, nothing is watching but the phone itself, and nobody is notified of anything, ever. It's meant for casual, in-person, short-duration use, not unattended property security or anything where missing an event has serious consequences.
