À propos de ce jeu
Arcforge is one app of beautifully made games from around the world: board, card, dice, puzzle and sport traditions, 45 games in all. No ads, no accounts, no tracking, and everything plays offline.
HOW IT WORKS
Every game starts with a free preview. Try each paid game free, then unlock it once, forever. No subscriptions. Golden Sling is free forever.
LEARN AS YOU PLAY
Every game comes with a Rules page and a How to Play guide, with text-size controls for easier reading. Auto Play (Watch & Learn) lets the computer play while it explains its choices, and you can pause it at any time, so a new game is easy to pick up.
STRATEGY CLASSICS
Chess, Go, Shogi and Xiangqi, the great board games of the world, with computer opponents to play against.
HUNT, CAPTURE AND MILL GAMES
Tiger and Goat (Nepal), Fox and Geese (Northern Europe), Hare and Hounds (France), Tafl (Scandinavia), Konane (Hawaii), Nine Men's Morris, Morabaraba (Southern Africa), Mū Tōrere (New Zealand) and Fanorona (Madagascar).
SOWING GAMES
Oware (West Africa), Congklak (Southeast Asia) and Toguz Kumalak (Central Asia), played by sowing seeds around the pits.
DICE AND RACE GAMES
Pachisi (India), The Royal Game of Ur (Mesopotamia), Senet (Egypt), Tavla (the Middle East), Tavli (Greece), Yut Nori (Korea), Snakes & Ladders and Parqués (Colombia).
CARD, TILE AND TABLE GAMES
Baloot (the Gulf), Tarneeb (the Levant), Durak (Russia), Scopa (Italy), Truco (Brazil), Lotería (Mexico), Okey (Turkey), Dominó Cubano (Cuba), Mahjong (China) and Carrom (South Asia).
PUZZLES AND WORDS
Tangram (China) with over 80 silhouettes and a daily puzzle. Word Game: graduate-level vocabulary in quick sessions, with a full review of every answer. Sure Sweep: minesweeper that is always solvable by logic, never a guess. Big Card Solitaire: huge, high-contrast cards, and every deal is winnable. Crown Fields: one crown per row, column and region.
SKILL, ACTION AND SPORT
Golden Sling: pull back a hand-carved slingshot and scare the birds off the harvest, with a new Daily Hunt every day. Perch, a bird-dodging game. One Arrow Oath, an archery adventure. Jack and Boule: pétanque from Provence with real rolling physics. Golden Hour Cricket: swipe to bat, flick to bowl. The Road to Lanka, an illustrated story adventure.
