FloatPicTxt displays images, videos and teleprompter text above other apps.

Overlays are not added to camera footage. Screen recordings and screen sharing may capture them. FloatPicTxt does not record your screen.

IMAGE AND VIDEO OVERLAYS
Pick an image or video and tap Start Overlay, or share one to FloatPicTxt from another app.

- While unlocked, drag to move and pinch to resize. Choose whether two-finger gestures also allow rotation.
- Adjust opacity, use the angle dial or enter an angle, rotate in 90-degree steps, reset rotation to 0°, and flip horizontally or vertically.
- New media overlays appear centered horizontally toward the top, scaled down to fit the screen if needed.
- Long-press while unlocked to hide or show the frame and controls. Your image or video stays visible.
- Videos open paused, including when restored. While unlocked, tap the video or play button to play or pause. Drag the progress bar to change playback position; tap the speaker to mute or unmute. After a video ends, tap it or the play button to replay.
- Some animated GIFs are supported experimentally. Tap a GIF to pause or resume while unlocked. Locking does not pause or resume GIFs or videos.
- Restore your last image or video overlay with its saved settings.

Import images up to 100 MB and videos up to 5 GB, subject to available storage. Video playback depends on file format, codec and device support. DRM-protected videos are not supported. GIF performance varies by file and device.

TELEPROMPTER MODE
Scripts are limited to 5,000 characters. Type or paste text, or share it from another app. You can edit before starting; sharing does not start the teleprompter.

- In Auto prompt, tap Start to scroll after a short countdown. Pause, resume or restart; use Loop scroll to repeat the script.
- In Manual prompt, scroll the text by hand.
- Adjust font size, opacity, text color and automatic scrolling speed.
- Move and resize the window. Rotate the window and text together in 90-degree steps; text wraps to the new width while preserving your reading position.
- Restore your last teleprompter text and saved settings.

LAYOUTS AND ROTATION
"Independent layouts" is on by default for images, videos and the teleprompter. It saves window size, position and angle separately for portrait and landscape, including the teleprompter window's aspect ratio. Layouts follow the orientation of the app or system screen behind the overlay.

Enable "Follow device rotation" to adjust the overlay angle as you turn your device. Recommended when the underlying app or system interface is locked in portrait or landscape. Rotation controls and this option work the same with "Independent layouts" on or off.

LOCK AND PASS-THROUGH
Lock an overlay to prevent accidental changes. Enable "Pass through after locking" in Settings to control the app underneath through the locked overlay. When this setting is off, touches on the locked overlay do not reach the app below. Unlock from the notification. Image and video notifications also include Stop Overlay.

For any overlay locked with pass-through enabled, opacity is limited to about 79%. Lower opacity stays unchanged; unlocking restores the opacity you selected.

TRIAL AND PURCHASE
Try the app free for 3 days. A one-time purchase is required to continue after the trial. Google Play shows your local price before confirmation. No subscription.

PRIVACY AND PERMISSIONS
Selected images, videos and scripts are processed locally, not uploaded to a developer server. Purchases are handled by Google Play.

Display over other apps and notifications are required for floating overlays and their controls. Android 13 or newer may request notification permission. Unrestricted battery use is optional and may improve background reliability.

Some apps and system screens block overlays for security. You can close your overlay at any time.
